SH4K Presentation
The Super Heroes 4 kids Association, is a non-profit association of humanitarian nature, having been constituted on December 19, 2019 with headquarters at Rua Conde de Avelar, Nº 10, 2420-642 São Martinho do Porto, and we intend to start our activity at the Refer Warehouse – S. Martinho do Porto train station, which we are still recovering with the support of volunteers and some private entities.
Super Heroes 4kids began in 2014 in the United States of America, after learning the story of a gentleman known as “Baltimore Batman” who toured hospitals dressed as Batman to support and visit children hospitalized in recovery or terminal phase.
Our organization is known worldwide and has visited children in hospitals, in recovery or terminal state in several countries, such as Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Turkey, Holland, France, England.
We decided to stand out in Portugal – São Martinho do Porto, because I Pedro Machado, founder, am the son of Portuguese parents emigrated to the United States of America, coming from the Alcobaça area. I’m proud to be Portuguese and I love Portugal.
We want to make our space, the child’s space with the goal of giving them a unique space with their superheroes, relaxing, having fun and essentially smiling, because there is nothing better than seeing the happiness stamped on their face when they see us dressed as superheroes.
There is nothing, like a superhero, to make a child smile and bring some happiness on a different day and time.
Our goal is to visit and support children, who are hospitalized in hospitals fighting for their lives on a daily basis, as has been done to this day all over the world. After a year of struggle, we managed to go to the IPO in Lisbon, but we intend to reach many more hospitals and institutions with the support of all the companies and organizations that decide to support us and collaborate with us.
We are part of a worldwide organization known as Superheroes4kids.org and our goal is to give joy to children who are in recovery.
We cannot take away their pain or their illness, but in those brief moments we manage to bring them an indescribable happiness that infects everyone, from parents, doctors, nurses and all of us.

A Super Heroes 4 kids Associação, é uma associação sem fins lucrativos de cariz humanitário, tendo sido constituída em 19 de dezembro de 2019 com sede na Rua Conde de Avelar, Nº 10, 2420-642 São Martinho do Porto, sendo que pretendemos iniciar a nossa atividade no Armazém da Refer – Estação de comboios de S. Martinho do Porto, que ainda estamos a recuperar com o apoio de voluntários e algumas entidades privadas.
A Super Heroes 4kids começou em 2014 nos Estados Unidos da América, depois de saber da história de um senhor conhecido como “Baltimore Batman” que percorria os hospitais vestido de Batman para apoiar e visitar crianças internadas em recuperação ou fase terminal.
A nossa organização é conhecida mundialmente e já visitou crianças nos hospitais, em recuperação ou estado terminal em diversos países, tais como, Singapura, Malásia, Austrália, Turquia, Holanda, França, Inglaterra.
Decidimos destacarmo-nos em Portugal – São Martinho do Porto, porque eu Pedro Machado, cofundador, sou filho de pais portugueses emigrados nos Estados Unidos da América, oriundos da zona de Alcobaça. Tenho orgulho em ser português e adoro Portugal.
Queremos fazer do nosso espaço, o espaço da criança com o objetivo de lhes dar um espaço único com os seus super-heróis, relaxar, divertirem e essencialmente sorrirem, porque não há nada melhor do ver a felicidade estampada no seu rosto ao nos verem vestidos de super-heróis.
Não há nada, como um super-herói, para fazer sorrir uma criança e trazer alguma felicidade num dia e momento diferente.
O nosso objetivo é visitar e apoiar crianças, que se encontram internadas nos hospitais lutando pela sua vida diariamente, como se tem feito até aos dias de hoje um pouco por todo o mundo. Ao fim de um ano de luta, conseguimos ir ao IPO de Lisboa, mas pretendemos chegar a muitos mais hospitais e instituições com o apoio de todas as empresas e organizações que decidirem nos apoiar e colaborar connosco.
Fazemos faz parte de uma organização Mundial conhecida como Superheroes4kids.org e o nosso objetivo é dar alegria às crianças que se encontram em recuperação.
Não podemos lhes retirar a dor nem a doença, mas naqueles breves momentos conseguimos lhes trazer uma felicidade indiscritível que contagia a todos, desde pais, médicos, enfermeiros e a todos nós.
